In the reccer's defense, she'd only read the author's other two works. Heaven Official's Blessing at least is sex-sceneless, so less opportunities to flub it mid-sex scene. For MDZS, the other sex scene I was Not Impressed with is further on/one of the final ones. I'm also not thrilled at how the novel handled Lan Wangji's drunk persona, and imagine I'll be tl;dring about that aspect as well as others when I've finished the novel via translation. (The translation will likely complete sooner than I can learn enough Chinese to make reading the novel that way worth it. Though I did order some simple Chinese texts to practice with!)
