All the 69 236* words that comprise spaceship rental have been sent to my beta! I will now 1. not touch it for a week, 2. be told to add at least 5k of words to it, and 3. need to figure out a title for it. Yay?

(* gedit's count. Google docs says 67185 words (over 172 pages); the difference is mostly in how many words a hyphenated compound word counts as. Anyone know how gdocs compares to AO3?)

In other news ... I had other news? Ah yes, now I remember: there's still a few hours left to sign up for Yuletide (annual rare fandoms exchange)! Sign-ups end at Monday my time, but I doubt we'll get assignments immediately (there's always someone whose offers don't have any possible recipients), so I can exorcise the shorter of the two treat ideas that've popped up in my brains and get that done before my assignment e-mail arrives.

Oh, and my writing method is basically "put one song on repeat"; for most of spaceship rental (title will NOT be spaceship rental) it was this one, but then I rediscovered Blackbriar and their new EP is even better than the first one! Thus, I put I'd Rather Burn on infinite loop and finished the fic.

But now I'll go to sleep before it's Monday. Night!

Because it's not about the team renting a spaceship, or a treatise on renting spaceships, but rather a tale of someone coming to get a spaceship back that somehow manages to be about family thematically? Current title idea is Made of Stardust, though that might change n+1 times before publication.

For Guardian, I've mostly been writing lots of ficlets! And this monster of a fic. Which does have a title, now! \o/ (Title to be kept secret until ch1 is published.)
