I am now capable of feeling enthusiasm about a small subsection of jobs, though, so ig I'm doing better than over the burnout summer? But it still sucks.

100%. Did one submission today with a turbo shitty cover letter. (In my defense, I saw the app at 12:00 and the deadline was 15:00, and I spent one hour of that time on a lunch meet-up.)
