I think it's more that he changes expression all the time so despite his comparative lack of screentime, he is in perhaps even more screencaps. Shen Wei has a lot of microexpressions, but they tend to stay in a similar main expression field; Zhao Yunlan is even more outwardly stable.

(Also, uh, sorry for the inadvertent out-of-context spoilers. Oops.)

It's easy to take nice screengrab icons when the cinematography is so good – my only problems were the Youku logo I had to edit out, and the way the SID laboratory background was so damn busy for the two revolver-pointing screencaps.

Yesss. My only gripe with the cinematography is the hardsubbed subtitles that are super hard to work around for graphics or vids.

Argh I know; the subtitles are annoying to work around even for iconizing, though thankfully most of the foci of icon interest are far enough above the hardsubs that it's OK. But the hardsubs are apparently a feature of Chinese media, so, sigh. Some dramas do exist without them (Nirvana on Fire has a hardsub-less version on Viki), but Guardian apparently doesn't.

Heeeeeeee <3 'Ye Zun says things' is my new favorite icon genre (especially 42, 46, and 47) And I really like the one with Chu!

Ye Zun has lots to say! I also like that all the Ye Zun says things icons came out as reasonably compelling when in chronological order. 46 is one of my faves as well!

Hee! I am reassured that the situation is now much more sustainable, with the Ye Zuns busy among themserlves and the Shen Weis happily supplied with a sufficient amount of Yunlans. (Although that lets them sneak off to fondle the Hallows with alarming regularity, of course. *g*)

Indeed it is! Though I wonder whether the Shen Weis would be upset that there are Zhao Yunlans who don't have a personal Shen Wei to guard them. The ratio is almost two Zhao Yunlans per Shen Wei; this would lead to suboptimal caretaking and a lot of Hallows-fondling. Perhaps they should team up with the other post, so there would be 31 Shen Weis, 21 Zhao Yunlans, and 43 Ye Zuns. The Shen Weis who have to share would grumble, but there would be less Hallows-fondling.

He suffers so very prettily! It was definitely an unintentional theme, but a theme nonetheless. I went to great pains to make the red blood spatter more prominent in that one icon.
