The epidemic is reminding me that I am at most times only a few pushes away from further insanity. Today's flavor is declarative mania of the sort that culminates in cackling madly on the floor. #sekaisinjosyntyessään

I have had 3 weeks of food in the house since February. On Friday, everyone went panic shopping. ETA for the covid is ~2 weeks here, I think – cases are mostly in Helsinki, and the government directives should slow its spread. The response (designating certain healthcare centers as covid-only, etc) seems reasonable, and unlike neighboring Sweden, we have a 3-6 month stockpile of healthcare equipment, including PPE, and a 3 month stockpile of medicine.

I'm still in no risk groups whatsoever, but given the epidemic timing, I've been thinking about backup plans for

space_swap lest I be part of the unlucky few who needs hospitalization. Stuff I've heard so far suggests that young patients who need hospitalization have an extra week from the time the symptoms develop to when treatment is needed, so I should have time to give the keys to the kingdom to another person should symptoms develop. (The contingency plan is just in case I'm not able to assign pinch hits/reveal the collection – I don't expect to die. Most likely I'll just feel miserable for a few weeks even if I get it.) I'm expecting a few more defaults and maybe less fic this year, but eh, the exchange will survive, and people need their circuses even (especially) when isolating at home.

Casefic has ~~6.5k~~ 9k! now. Assuming this'll be 40k, that means there's 33.5k left, which would take ~67 days to write at a clip of 500 words per day. (I average a bit over that for projects in the 20k-45k range, but it's a fair enough maximum estimate.) Posting in the summer? Oh, and I need to get Ye Huo a backstory. (For various reasons, he is the only person who can do plot thing. Well, Zheng Yi could, too, but Zhao Yunlan wouldn't ask.) *sods off to write*
