It went much better than the attempt with the old books, and now Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei are tumbling through the void towards Huoxing.

qwerty requested a space AU, so I poured out all my heart and soul of solar system sci-fi into this, where Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei go on a work trip to Totally Not Mars. It was lots of fun to write!

farevenasdecidedtouse found the TGE AO3 tag all gen and low-rating het and launched a fest for us degenerates to porn it up. I wasn't sure if I could make it – I had an exchange and a longfic and other stuff on my plate – but I did manage to squeeze out some porn!

In other ficcing news, I put out chapter 5 of From Ashes of Sunlight (halfway through!), and now have 1k of the WIP I have termed as "spaceship rental". The actual title will be something completely different. It has also decided it will be multi-POV, as Professor Zhou, Shen Wei's professional mentor, has decided he needs to save Shen Wei's scientific career from the sad life of a bureaucrats' consultant.
