staranise is putting together a sort of intro to DW for Tumblr users. The example community for the mock-up screenshots, fictional_fans, is something that a bunch of people are also trying to have take off, and has posts both on one-fandom-specific stuff like beta requests and fic recs as well as panfandom things like how to find recently popular things on AO3 and general discussion on new-to-you fandoms.
