My beta got back to me! WIP needs a few k more, like I guessed.
As for what those few k are ... well. "Add an extra scene with the goose at the end so we know the goose is simply honking in another castle instead of taxidermied by this other person." "The mongoose is being very anticlimactic. Surely the mongoose should be causing more trouble? Like, lots of it." "You have soft focused away all the gooseberry scenes. Hard focus onto them." "Channel your inner Franz Kafka a bit more."
I have also picked out a title for it! Not publicizing it quite yet, but I'll reveal that it's a line from this song.
But first – my YuleWIP. I have added words already, and today's agenda is adding more words.
(ETA: with today's lunch break activities, I am now two squares away from a bingo blackout!)
