Everyone on my reading list has probably already linked to
chestnut_pod's Be More Democratic, Be More Autocratic, OTW, which is a look at the structural problems of the OTW and how to fix them. The comments section also has a lot of interesting discussion, especially on the horrendously dysfunctional procedures of OTW's PAC, which is the committee responsible for handling abuse reports.
Today I looked at fail_fandomanon on my lunch break, as I sometimes do, and lo and behold, a former PAC volunteer (who apparently used to be the person responsible for dealing with the reports of actual CSEM posted to the archive before being suspended because someone thought they were behind the CSEM spam attacks because of ???) de-anoned and posted two comments quoting OTW-internal questions on the protocols for volunteer suspension (also includes background on the CSEM attack and judgement of the current board members) and whether PAC members get to see Legal's response to their questions (apparently advice from Legal is confidential to the very PAC volunteers they're advising.)
So apparently Legal is some kind of fucked-up shadow board? I have no idea WTF is going on there.
