It's stupid to underestimate one's enemy, like Kang does with Pingjing, but to be fair Pingjing did look really young in his uniform ^^ Especially with the helmet. Otherwise the armor is pretty.
I loved the short scene with the Emperor and Feizhan. The Emperor doesn't really have many confidants, and his mother is more likely to try and isolate him further. Pingjing also isn't in the capital much. Maybe eventually Yuanshi can become closer with his brothers. (Btw I think we still haven't seen or heard of even one Imperial daughter?)
I'm curious about where Xun Anru fits into things. At least we finally saw another former concubine, and it looks like they're all terrified of the Empress Dowager, unsurprisingly. I don't doubt that the Empress Dowager will "fall", i.e. lose power, but I wonder if Minister Xun goes down with her. I wonder what he's planned to do now: he can't very well sabotage Pingjing, that would be disastrous. He can however try to balance Pingjing's success (I'm just counting on that rn, optimism) with the accusation of disloyalty to the former Emperor's loyalty.
I'm still not sure where Yuanqui will fall, I'm holding out hope he'll find his way out of the jealousy/revenge cycle but not much.
