Welp!

This was going to be an accounting of my Worldcon experience, but it seems my freezer door was cracked (I suspect that it was unsealed by someone slamming a door nearby, as this building transmits vibrations like nobody's business, but can't be sure) and now I need to make a defrosting plan for my freezer. GDI.

ETA: Defrosting done, freezer now freezing again.

The worst! I've removed most of the ice, now only the last few bits need to melt and then I can dry it.

I had to do it three times in a month at the last place (freezer failed in a heat wave), so I have lots of practice!

That is a lot of times to have to defrost. I guess its good that you have this skill but I'm sure you'd rather do something else with your time.

The process is exceedingly annoying, yes. Fingers crossed I'll never again have to do it.
