extrapenguin: Star Wars (star wars)
*climbs out of bed, slightly less feverish* Yo.

Well! Looks like there will be a KOTOR remake (PS5 and PC, probably out 2022 Christmas?), so in honor of that and the original KOTOR, here are my feverish thoughts on what stat builds various prequel-era characters would have under the KOTOR system. (It's a lightly-modified DnD, AFAIK.)

Obi-Wan Kenobi: All his skill points are going into Charisma. Oh, he has some in Dexterity, but his survival is based on the Cha-based saving throws. Has a Wisdom score of, like, 10, and Intelligence isn't much ahead. He thinks his skill points are going into Persuade, but that's just the Charisma buff; in actuality, he's pressing the auto level up button and they're going into Demolitions, which he never uses.

Anakin Skywalker: Spent some time as Obi-Wan's skill monkey, so he's got lots of points in Intelligence. Contrary to what reports might say, he does actually have points put into Charisma, he just keeps standing next to Obi-Wan, whose Charisma score is silly, so it looks like he doesn't have anything there. Has a good Strength score as well as some Constitution and Dexterity. Forgot to put any points into Wisdom, and somehow managed to acquire a pretty heavy debuff on it. His Repair score is terrifying.

Ahsoka Tano: Was going for a Dexterity-based melee fighter build, with some Charisma as befitting a Jedi and Intelligence as befitting Anakin's padawan, but then Order 66 happened and she started allocating all her points to Wisdom instead. Ends up having impressive scores in Computer Use, Security, Repair, and Awareness. She wishes she'd had that during the Clone Wars.

Mace Windu: Has the standard Jedi level of points in Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma (unlike Anakin and Obi-Wan), and after that built himself to be the epitome of a melee fighter. Put his skill points into Awareness save for a few in Treat Injury. Unfortunately, he decided he could leave the Persuade checks to the rest of his party and thus didn't allocate any points there.

Maul: High Constitution plus just enough Charisma to saving throw himself into surviving being cut in half. Enough Strength and Intelligence to be a formidable opponent. The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural ... like having a -7 debuff to Wisdom.

Padmé Amidala: Vacillated a bit but had a mostly decent Scoundrel build going on. High Charisma and Dexterity, but not enough Wisdom and she thought she could skimp on the Constitution score. Died due to her low Constitution and a bad saving throw. Her main skill was Persuade, as fitting a politician, but it wasn't as high as it could've been due to her spending some skill points on things like Security.

Palpatine: Really into that Consular build. Strength? Dexterity? Constitution? Who needs that shit when you can put all your points into Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma! Has game-breaking levels of Awareness and Persuade. Survives being killed due to absurd saving throws. "+12 CHA? Amateur. You need at least +57," he says, as he saving throws his way out of dying a second time. Has the Force Storm path fully unlocked and throws around lightning like it's on a 90% off discount.
