fffx fic, which means I have no outstanding ficcy commitments until I sign up for space_swap in February. My long WIP, All That is Solid Melts into Air, is still ... well. I might've added a few hundred words, maybe even 1k, since I last checked in, but it's still not done. I think I need to re-outline the route to the ending; the current one is extremely bare and I realized my original plan for one thing wasn't as good as something I came up with later, which means I have to redo some character tetris. And after that I have to read through, pick up my dropped plotlines, seed in more foreshadowing for other things, and in general do edits.
But before that, I'm going to take a break. I think I want to write something short and funny first – less than 5k – and do it just for me. My brain keeps bombarding me with longfic ideas, but I think I have something. I think I'll poke at it over the weekend. And then I'll look at a medium-length idea that's been tossing around in my mind and see if I can get that written. I really need to complete and post something at this point, so my brain remembers that a) it is possible for things to be done, and b) people do appreciate what I make. Also for RL to be less nothing-works, but that is a bit less under my control.
