"Somewhere in this party," said Captain Illyan, "there are four Cetagandan assassins."
A truly fantastic casefic-type where Alys gets to shine and solve a political problem.
Found in the Stars – Yoko Tsuno, G, Khâny/Yoko, 1044
Khâny missed Yoko.
Yoko and her group, at the start at what will no doubt be an exciting Vinéan adventure. Khâny and Yoko have a moment.

When asked later why he chose to investigate the shallow cluster, Captain Creideiki would not, or could not, offer any explanation beyond this particularly obscure piece of Trinary haiku.
THE HAIKUS ARE EXCELLENT.

On the day of Maia Drazhar's wedding to Csethiro Ceredin, a subject creates a complication.
A subject attempts blackmail, and it's dealt with most excellently.
Hand In Glove – NASA Mars Astronauts Needed, T, gen, 3554
This, Javier Navarro thought in disgust as he stared up at the tower he was supposed to fix, was not exactly the heroic and exciting thing he had imagined when he’d seen the NASA recruiting posters and, on a whim, submitted an application.
A delightful little scene about a tech on Mars.
Walk With Me – Revelation Space, G, gen, 11344
Working undercover on the colony world of Resurgam, Ana Khouri investigates a dead body murdered with a very unusual weapon. Solving the mystery will require some help from Ilia Volyova, and reveal a little about her past in the process.
CASE FIC IN MY FANDOM!!!1! With cooperation and worldbuilding! And it's so close in tone to canon, too!

Five times Revan rescued Juhani. One time they saved each other.
A sweet look at Juhani and her journey with regards to Revan.
Intelligent Disobedience – Vorkosigan, T, Simon & Aral, 1304, Violence warning
A well-trained dog obeys his master, but the very best dogs know when to refuse to obey.
After the soltoxin attack, Aral wants to extract revenge. Simon stands in his way. Not especially graphic re: violence.
Never Getting Back Together (Like, Ever) – Vorkosigan, unrated, Aral/Ges, 1444
My dear Captain, I need some scripts for dealing with my Darth Vader ex, who happens to be the brother of my ex-wife.
Aral Vorkosigan writes a letter to Captain Awkward.
peace and quiet – Vorkosigan, G, Ivan & Gregor, 5836
Light and genteel laughter spilled out of the foyer. A large group of Barrayar's high society had just arrived, clustering in small groups as they waited to be greeted by the Emperor. Ivan hesitated on the edge of the group, mind racing in circles as he scanned the crowd. He resisted the urge to rub at the spreading patches of red on his hands. I don't want anything to do with this.
Ivan gets to be nice and competent and show his social adeptness by saving the Emperor.
Respite – Vorkosigan, G, Ivan & Gregor, 309
The Emperor didn’t seem to require a greeting, much less request it.
Ivan and Gregor share a (quiet) moment.
