Summary:
2. I now have 31 Guardian icons for my iconization project, 10 each for episodes 1-3 and one for episode 4. I'll make a post when I reach 50, but for now, here's two teaser icons:

lynndyre, an AO3 meme!
I have written 126 fics.
What’re your first and second most common work ratings?
Teen And Up Audiences (52)
General Audiences (44)
What’s your most common archive warning?
No Archive Warnings Apply (91)
There's a significant gap to the next one:
Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings (27)
...and then Rape, Major Character Death, and Underage have 3 each.
Do you consider yourself an adventurous creator?
I like to write worldbuilding, which requires some similar things to adventurousness, but mostly it's just getting an idea and executing it. I haven't written interactive fiction or used any truly nonstandard narrative formats.
How many works have you created in each pairing category?
Gen (69)
M/M (35)
F/F (12)
F/M (9)
Other (2)
Is this more accidental, or do you have preferences?
I am at heart a gen worldbuilder, especially in years past. It shows in a lot of these numbers. I also find that my preferences for M/M intersect more with mainstream fandom's preferences for M/M than my preferences for F/F intersect with mainstream fandom's preferences for F/F; it is also seemingly harder to get very femslashy SF in subgenres I like to gain followings than it is for slash, maybe.
What are your top 5 fandoms by numbers?
Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold (27)
The Goblin Emperor - Katherine Addison (26)
魔道祖师 - 墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù (16)
Original Work (14)
Honor Harrington Series - David Weber (14)
(and then at #6 is Guardian with 6 works)
Are you still active in any of them, and do you tend to migrate a lot?
I do still have activity in Modao Zushi – I just posted a fic today! – and Original Works I use to crosstag any 5-minute fandom stuff, but I've drifted out of Vorkosigan, Honor Harrington, and also TGE. I find a place and stay in it for a year or more, but there is nothing wrong with interests changing with time.
What are your top 4 relationship tags?
Shěn Wēi/Zhào Yúnlán (5)
Sòng Lán | Sòng Zǐchēn/Xiǎo Xīngchén (5)
Denis LePic/Thomas Theisman (4)
Lin Shu | Mei Changsu | Su Zhe/Xiao Jingyan (3)
Lán Zhàn | Lán Wàngjī/Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn (3)
Does this match how you feel about the characters, or are you puzzled?
As someone who writes/wrote mostly worldbuilding gen tagged with zero ship tags, I am not surprised that it's all single-digit stuff. Mostly I'm confused that I wrote that many fics for Denis LePic/Tomas Theisman of Honor Harrington series. (Also, while doing this, I was very confused by the (3) following Song Lan/Xiao Xingchen ... and realized I'd misclicked and selected the & tag for my two latest SongXiao2019 fics! /o\ Why didn't anyone tell me???)
What are your top 10 most used additional tags?
Poetry (10)
Yuletide Treat (9)
Humor (8)
Yuletide (8)
Cetaganda (7)
Post-Canon (5)
Magic (5)
Crack (5)
Horses (5)
Angst (4)
...a mix of type-descriptive tags and worldbuilding specifiers! I in general tag sparsely, especially the freeforms, so nothing that interesting.
What would happen if you combined the top 4 of these into a fic?
It would be humorous poetry for Yuletide – perfectly doable!
How many WIPs do you have currently running on AO3? Any you don’t plan on finishing?
Three! One in Honor Harrington series that I never plan to complete, one in Vorkosigan that I never plan to complete but stands on its own anyway due to its parody/humor nature (still proud of naming one of the accounts on not!Tumblr vorthalia-the-italic), and one in Modao Zushi that I still have some ambitions to update, since I do have one side story already written, but ... I fell off the canon ship since starting that, and have in general been bone-weary, including creatively. Ah well.

Date: 2019-03-16 20:42 (UTC)Y'know, it occurs to me that that scene is particularly important from a Doylist POV: because it's saying to the intended audience, "We are doing this for YOU. You won't have to filter what you want out of the male gaze, we're using YOUR gaze."

Date: 2019-03-16 20:57 (UTC)You know, this is a very good point – Guardian is good, and nice, and its target audience is very much people who are not dudebros. No random sexy women, even if Zhu Hong looks killer in that dress, and instead we get a shot of Shen Wei's lips.
