extrapenguinI'm doing edits on the MDZS WIP now that my dear beta chromemuffin has come back from the war (chapter 1 hopefully out on Tuesday), and in the meanwhile, have been adding to/editing that breeding kink omegaverse Guardian thingy, because it needs more words. I have 1k of porn that'll need editing, and in the meanwhile, I have succumbed to worldbuilding about gender roles and sexuality terminology /o\. Have the newly written, unedited opening salvo:
My total wordcount goal for this year is 100k. If I count stuff not yet published, I have 70k. Yay?
Oh, and my "10 icons per episode" challenge is continuing to the episodes 6-10 block. I have 3/50 done!

He'd known Shen Wei was from Dixing for over a month, and when he'd rescued him from those street thugs a few weeks back, he'd smelled just a tiny whiff of omega pheromones on him. After the way Shen Wei hadn't hurt the thugs with any Dixing powers, Zhao Yunlan had decided he wanted that professor in the SID. Him being an omega ... well. While Zhao Yunlan was pan and perfectly willing to woo beta professors, an A/O relationship would face less resistance and odd looks than an A/B one. The thought of Shen Wei with a tiny Shen Wei sitting on Zhao Yunlan's couch was also not unappealing.
The question was, what about Shen Wei? Zhao Yunlan would've sworn the interest was mutual – after all, what single omega would bring an unrelated alpha home and stay the night? – except that all evidence pointed to Shen Wei being the Black-Cloaked Envoy.
Could all that caretaking and attention and fussing might have just been the Envoy making sure the SID Chief remained in fighting condition? Zhao Yunlan wanted to say no, but doubts niggled at his mind. After all, the Envoy had been born forever ago, and was from Dixing besides; the markers of attraction Zhao Yunlan had picked up on might've been intended to be something else entirely.
Right. There was only one thing to do: Zhao Yunlan would have to make his interest plain and woo the Envoy.
