Summary:

To his dismay, Wei Wuxian discovers that Jiang Cheng wasn't the only friend of his whose golden core was dissolved - Lan Wangji's is gone as well. Now he has to figure out how to get them to not give up, defeat the Wen, and help Jiang Cheng rebuild the Lotus Pier. And find a way to re-grow Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji's golden cores. The journey will be hard, but not one he can in good conscience avoid.

I was whining about it not getting comments earlier. Turns out I needed to post chapter 2 to get the ball rolling, and now I have a few loyal commenters who have much to say!

Of course, then I was cursed with another MDZS plotbunny. It would be harem, Wei Wuxian/everyone, be titled Proud Immortal Cultivator Wei, and the opening paragraph...

In his second webnovel, Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky treads much the same ground as in the first one, though his vocabulary has increased, the happenings are more naturalistic, and there is actually a framing device that explains why everyone wants to be in the protagonist's harem. The protagonist also differs from Luo Binghe in nature – Wei Wuxian does not set out to increase his harem, and enjoys playing house with them. In general, I rate this 5/10 due to the lack of focus on the actual cultivation and cultivational items.

I had the same thing with my MSZS multichapter fic! I think people are a little hesitant to review the first chapter of a new work in case nothing else ever gets posted?

I almost lost my shit at Proud Immortal Cultivator Wei. Would every chapter open with a... not entirely glowing but better than '0/10' review from Peerless Cucumber?

I feel like sometimes A03 is a gathering of people staring bitterly off into the middle distance and muttering 'I've been burned before' under their breaths lol.

I love the idea of Shen Qingqiu starting every chapter with vague complaining and way too many comparisons to Proud Immortal Demon Way.

Mm, yeah, and the fandom growing beyond fics in the single digits means people can be pickier.

Shen Qingqiu's complaining would be hilarious to write. "Yu Ziyuan is a rip-off of Qi Qingqi!" "There was not enough worldbuilding this chapter!" "Where are the ridiculous fetch quests I signed up for???" "Amazingly, Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky seems to have discovered the concept of bisexuality. While danmei is not my thing and this mixture of regular harem and danmei harem will lose him readers, I must at least give him points for originality. 8/10."

Haha i know how you feel. I’ve been drawing my Nirvana in Fire bunnies but I will get back to Guardian soon. Fortunately there are so many lovely prompts left to inspire me and new fic keeps appearing every day!

So many lovely prompts indeed! Let's see what shakes out of my brain in a week or so/how well my longer fic goes down. I think I'll start drafting up the longfic with the spaceship rental agent after I've cleaned up and posted one more piece of porn.
