I'm feeling demotivated about spaceship rental. IDK if that means I need to put it down for a bit, or just sleep more, or ask for someone to look over the WIP. (If you wish to volunteer, please send an e-mail to extrapenguin at gmx dot com. I'm looking for a structure and insights check and some cheerleading about it. I have a volunteer! Ty. :3)

Other WIPs: there's the sequel to Fate's True North (soulmates AU pt 2), and I half want to add some extra scenes to the arranged marriage flashfic and then post it to AO3, and I got talked into writing a sequel thing to this flashwork.

In finished stuff:
For brush_and_lantern's August theme, I wrote about Li Qian & Shen Wei!
I was also spontaneously inspired to write a shortfic about potential canon divergences: Somewhere Cannons Rust. People have expressed appreciation already!

(Also, is it just me, or has bookmarking experienced a huge surge in popularity? Everything I write seems to get bookmarks now.)

Oh, and apropos of nothing, have the drummer of Rammstein crowd surfing with a rainbow flag from a recent tour. The guitarists also kissed onstage during a concert in Russia in protest of Russia's anti-gay laws, an event remarkable enough it got mentioned in Helsingin Sanomat.

I feel ya on motivation for a long thing. It can be tough and I haven't found an ideal solution either! But I hope the creative juices come back either with less sun, more sleep, or some outside input!

It was impressive! I smiled. It does mean something to me that people famous for other things entirely are willing to do something so public like that. My heart was warmed.

The last times I was working on something this long, I was sending snippets to a cheerleader as I wrote, and the latter time I took a three-month break when I was at the 7k marker (out of an eventual 44k). A writer's life is a lonely one; people to bounce ideas off and get input is a good chunk of the reason I'm still on Discord.

I'm very good at not getting stressed out over fic ideas. It's just a very cool idea and I would like to see it written, so I want to get it written! I'm just busy and in a downturn of sorts.
