extrapenguinI wrote 29 things, and last night used Flamebyrd's stats download bookmarklet to download the stats for my 2019 stories as .csv, then deleted the non-Femslash February rows. After that, I did some rudimentary statsing. Have some results! (Disclaimer: my degree is in physics, not statistics, and this is all just for fun. No claims of accuracy are made.)

Minimum: 177
Maximum: 1980
Mean: 694.8
Median: 661
Standard Deviation: 367.9
Kurtosis: 4.3
Skewness: 1.6
Sum: 20148
So, in total, I wrote 20148 words over February! That's ... a lot. (And doesn't count other February things unassociated with Femslash February.) A kurtosis of over 3 means that the distribution of wordcounts has more outliers from the center than the normal distribution. The skewness is positive, which means that the "bulk" of the distribution is on the low wordcounts with a tail going to higher wordcounts.

1915 people clicked on my efforts! The skewness is even more positive, so for hits, most things are only somewhat clicked-on, but some are runaway popular. (For certain values of runaway.) Here, the average is 66 hits, and 9 fics had more hits than that. I have 86 subscribers currently (though I think I gained some midway through), so the 5 stories with more hits than that have definitely reached audiences beyond people who want to know about everything I write. (On the flipside, 4 of the 5 fics with the least hits don't have canonical fandom tags, so anyone clicking on them would've come via subscriptions or some other tag.)

The top story wrt this stat is Deepest Desires, where 34% of people kudosed after clicking, followed by two Sect Leader and Little Shimei's Story fics that also had more than a quarter of people clicking give a kudos: Prettier than the Rivers (27%) and Strong as the Raging Storm (27%).
Average words per kudo (i.e., how many words I need to write to earn a single kudo) was 111.8 for the stories that had kudos. Through Ink and Water had a value of 13.12; the next one was Darkness Brings at 30.48.
13.8% of fics got subscribed to. Average bookmarks: 0.93. Average comment threads: 0.66. Fics that got no kudos: Dance to the Dawn (spider femslash; Children of Time) and It Clicks (and Warms) (Enga/Yasira, The Outside).

And for perspective, early in March I posted Caught Red-Handed (T, CQL, Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian), which is comparable to the Femslash February fics in scope. It has 1015 hits, 164 kudos, 5 comment threads, 27 bookmarks, and 7 subscriptions.
