Lots of characters pine beautifully, but pain is inherent to pining –
to yearn deeply; suffer with longing; long painfully– and sometimes one needs something different. Say, a character, reminded of their love interest's existence, becomes overjoyed. A character blanketed in a reminder of their darling's love. And this should be called larching. Usage example: After they got together, Shen Wei stopped pining and started larching instead.

Zhao Yunlan: *exists*
Shen Wei: *larches*
