Femslash February so far: 4 works! Prettier than the Rivers (Xiao Rufeng/Ye Xiaoqi), Gone in the Morning (Wang Zheng/Zhu Hong), Deepest Desires (Li Qian/Sha Ya), and today Welcome, Spring (Ya Qing/Ying Chun).
What is this, you might ask – Has spring come to Finland already??? Fear not, global warming isn't that bad yet; it is merely the start of the solar term of 立春, which means that 音阙诗听 has published a new song:
This inspired me heavily re: pairing and topic. Ying Chun's name (迎春) does after all mean "welcome spring", so she was the perfect fit. The next solar term, 雨水 (Rain Water), starts on the 19th, so I suppose I'll use that as inspiration as well. Then it's 惊蛰 (Insects Wake), which already has a song out, and they'll have gone through all 24 solar terms. Except for 清明 Qingming, for which I can't find anything. Alas my Chinese isn't good enough to go digging for reasons why they might've skipped it, and whether they'll put something out on the 5th of April this year.
