Casefic WIP: 12.4k across 3 chapters! The start of chapter 4 has been outlined; I'll write forward tomorrow. Looks to be 6-7 chapters of 4k, still, maybe 8 but not 5. (So under 35k. A perfectly respectable fic length!)

vexercises: I started with exercise 2 ahead of schedule, but after being somewhat satisfied with my concept, I watched the example vid and discovered I'd misinterpreted the prompt. I also had a concept and no music for it, so, uh, my attempt to redo it didn't work. I think I need to figure out the music for it first. I want something similar in vibe to Indica - Lauluja paratiisista, Kaija Koo - Hanat aukeaa, and Happoradio - Itä-Suomessa tuulee, but the latter two have lyrical mismatches (explicitly speaking of a girl, mentions of East Finland and Russia) and the first doesn't have a minute-long segment. I think I need to toss all I have and start from the beginning with that project and make it 1:10 and use Lauluja paratiisista – or I could see if Kirka - Hetki lyö works, hmm... (The vid has a title! It will be called Departures.) (The actual vid would of course have engsubs. If you want translations of any of the mentioned songs, just ask and I'll provide.)
While I was grumpily not thinking about exercise 2, I thought about exercise 3! I even made the vid, transitions and all! Mind, it still needs coloring, but that I can do later. All the raw clips are there, in the proper order!
