Last autumn, I watched the first two seasons of For All Mankind, an alternate history where the Soviets reach the Moon first and the space race continues on. It sort of comes across as a very US-centric fix-it for RL, given that one of the first things they do after the requisite astronaut angst of the Soviet victory is hire some female astronauts, so that by the end of s1, when there is an ongoing situation, the majority of the focal characters in space and on CAPCOM are women.
To absolutely no-one's surprise, I immediately fell in love with Molly Cobb, one of the astronauts. My next fave is Danielle Poole, once she got to actually do something other than be there next to the Molly vs Tracy drama and Ellen's love life.

I originally thought I'd never get anything done for that, no way, but then it turns out the Festivids reveals are in January, not December, so I went through the requests, confirmed people were requesting For All Mankind, and started thinking about the Molly or Danielle vids I could make based on s1-s2 footage and for which I had a potential song. In the end, I discovered that Northwest Passage, cover by Unleash the Archers, was a very good Molly song, if not based on lyrics, then based on vibes.
