The Questions:
[Laisa], [Spock] and [Volyova] move in together. Is this a really bad idea?
While on first glance, it sounds catastrophic, all three have enough in-built pragmatism to easily survive living together. That is, until Spock started asking Volyova why she smoked, seeing that it was such an illogical act.

Under what circumstances might [Steggie] and [Ransom] fall in love?
During the filming of Ransom's newest propaganda special, Ransom begins to have actual feelings for the stuffed toy that has served the People's Republic so valiantly. No Manty captain has defeated the cunning Steggy, whose People's Commissioner adores him for his devotion to the Cause. Ransom gives him her heart, but in her mind she knows that the People need a martyr.

Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?
Speaker to Animals: an eight-foot tall kzintosh, yes please! (Think sentient bipedal tiger Proud Warrior Race guy.) He's an alien, so he shouldn't be able to catch the Zombie bug, and he'd probably enjoy the free hunting.
[Speaker] pranks [Tali] with the help of [Duv]; What was the prank and how did [Duv] respond?
Speaker mixes in something to Tali's air supply. Speaker, being somewhat unconcerned about animals' well-being, did not check to see if it would be toxic. His help, Duv, replaced the additive with something not harmful to Tali, however. Tali spent a few hours really high. Duv was pleased that Tali enjoyed the experience, despite him having to listen to her prattle on about her "emergency induction port".
[Ransom] talks [Spock] into therapy; why do they go, and how did [Steggie] end up their therapist?
Corrdelia ransom gives Spock an argument on the benefits of therapy, in the interests of getting Spock onto the side of the Revolution. Spock is unconvinced, so he does his own research. He goes to Steggie the Stegosaurus to utilize the "plastic duck" effect and tells Ransom that he's seeing a therapist.
[Kareen] and [Ransom] wake up hung over and unexpectedly married. Which of them kills the other first?
Ransom, seeing herself married to a member of the oppressor class, covers up the whole marriage thing and has Kareen executed for being upper-class.
You are writing a rom-com AU. Why are [Duv] and [Steggie] the lead couple, and what is [Aino] doing to break them up and [Susan Calvin] doing to thwart [Aino]'s efforts?
Duv, after renouncing his father's ideals, is lost and alone on Barrayar, studying history alone. All of a sudden, Steggie the Stegosaurus bumps into him at the University library. Duv is smitten by Steggie's compassion and curiosity. He is torn between Steggie and Laisa, and does not know whom to choose! Aino wants to break them up so that she can have the kind, intelligent Duv for herself! (and not have to marry the old Väinämöinen.) Susan Calvin isn't really interested, but she's interested in seeing a committed relationship between a human and a stuffed toy for science.
[Laisa] and [Cavilo] found a school. Do they give it a special emphasis (mathemathics, music, etc) and who do they hire as teachers?
Laisa discovered a nice philanthropist lady who's interested in bringing education to Sergyar. They hash out some details, and found a regular high school with some extra economics electives. Laisa is very impressed by the woman's attitude of "I want to found a school I'd have my son go to". Laisa contacts Cordelia, and they get a large amount of very bright Barrayarans to teach, in addition to some galactics with some yearning for a frontier. All is well until Gregor sees a picture of the lady philanthropist and her son Sergio. Then Gregor is forced to have a rather awkward conversation with Laisa and order Miles to capture Cavilo and her son. Cavilo escapes, but the young Sergio is delivered to Cordelia and a trusted therapist.
How did [Speaker] get elected president?
The Republican Party has exhausted its pool of candidates to obviously offensive racism and stupidity. When Speaker to Animals is part of the first contact party, he gets a taste of human meat. He ate a black man, so the Republican party is all fine and dandy with it. When Speaker is left on Earth after his ship bails, the Republicans field their first non-human candidate: he can't speak English, so he can't say stupid things the liberal media will call him out for, and he looks like a eight-foot tiger, so everyone likes his appearance. As the least offensive Republican president in decades, his face ends up on the $50 note.
Why did [Theisman] kill [Peter]'s parents? What did [Peter] do when zie found out?
Peter's parents were kidnapped by the Faceless Man and put onto a Manty battlecruiser that was killed by Peep forces under Citizen Admiral Theisman's direct control. Peter is sad and then pissed off at the Faceless Man for dropping his parents in a war zone. Theisman feels guilty anyway. Peter talks to him, is utterly and completely wowed by the whole future thing (then again, even Nightingale is a bit wowed by prolong and space battles and such). Theisman finds racism weird. The conversation is derailed from the Faceless Man into comparative anthropology until Nightingale reminds Peter. Theisman agrees to help with the whole Faceless Man thing as best he can, and would kind of like to run off to modern London, but has his duty to Haven. Denis LePic complains about Nightingale's werelight popping all of his bugs ("they're expensive! How am I going to justify this to the Committee? 'Sure, Theisman's wizard friend fried all of my bugs with magic'?")
[Spock] and [Volyova] got matched together on a blind date. How does it go?
Spock and Volyova both make only a cursory effort before deciding that they're not interested in dating at all. Then they express disapproval at those who convinced them of this "dating" activity's merits.
[Marvin] and [Tali] join the same knitting club. How soon do they start planning to take over the world?
They don't. Marvin is too busy being all doom-and-gloomy and Tali is too busy trying to improve the design of the knitting needles.Speaker to Animals: an eight-foot tall kzintosh, yes please! (Think sentient bipedal tiger Proud Warrior Race guy.) He's an alien, so he shouldn't be able to catch the Zombie bug, and he'd probably enjoy the free hunting.
