Misrata's journey has finished up, save for achievement hunting. Screencap album.
The basic plot of chapter 3 is we bust some guy out of jail so we can take down Rogan the Butcher, only to discover that we've been played for fools, since the Senator we agreed to privateer for? Actually working for the Empire and the Voidwolf. Then we spend two planets clearing our name from Imperial collaboration/taking down Darmas Pollaran and the Senator. There were some nice bits – Guss Tuno was a hoot, especially on Belsavis but also chatting to Master Sumalee – but in general the whole thing collapses into a hot mess. We started out as an independent captain whose ship was stolen, and okay, the story ended in the prologue, but chapter 1 at least followed on from that. Chapters 2 and 3 turned into Not That. And unlike the Imperial Agent story, which also lost its focus in ch 3, it couldn't even be excused by them pursuing a thematic question ("In a world where all men are not created equal, what does the less equal majority do?" or something) over the archetype experience. So far, this is my least favorite of the class stories and I would argue also the worst.

The one good bit of news is that I figured out how to make combat suck less! The answer is to set the companions to tank so that it's possible to use Back Blast more than once per fight. Stealth's pretty fun, too.

Future Misrata plans:
- Ord Mantell heroics + datacrons for the achievement
- do Shadow of Revan for the Rishi class mission
- get level 75
- get 1k kills with each companion (I think I got to ~700 with Corso and Guss, ~200 with Bowdaar, ~150 with Risha, and less than 50 with Akaavi...) – rakghouls, rift lurkers, and Imps on Voss beware
- grind up crew skills (Armstech, Scavenging, Investigation)
- at some point, if I'm still into it, get renown level 100 for the achievement
...but as I much prefer playing ranged characters and disliked the smuggler, meh. I'll be rolling a Sith Warrior in a few weeks, which, well, it's not like I have a ranged option there, but my Consular, Trooper, and Bounty Hunter will definitely be 30m ranged. (For the Sith Warrior, the current plan is to try leveling as a tank.)
