Already??? I was somehow under the impression they were next month!
(Oh wait, the actual election date must be next month, but we're in early voting. That would explain things.)
Anyway I just checked Yle's vaalikone (election... machine? candidates answer some set questions, you answer the same questions, a list of candidates sorted by agreement is spat out at you) and it told me to vote for the same person I voted for last election. She's a Green, one of the 3 key points of her platform is researching issues before casting her vote, she's been thoroughly unobjectionable in Parliament and the one time she achieved publicity it was over a good thing, so no regrets.
However, looks like Keskusta's rapid disappearing act is continuing, and a seat that used to go for them is going for fucking PS instead so now I'm wondering whether I should vote SDP instead, since they probably have a larger chance of getting the seat than the Greens do. I wouldn't be holding my nose, as the party platform is nice, this time including stuff like extra funding for education, and Sanna Marin's been a good prime minister, but they're my second choice, y'know? I should probably look at their candidates and their unique platforms more closely.
My labor union is also holding an election and I need to look into that as well. Halp.
