Begging for prompts
30 Sep 2013 14:18The Penguin wants to write fic, but has no inspiration for stories! This is a problem.
To solve the problem, the penguin is reaching out to this blog's readers to give prompts!
I've ficced in the honorverse and Vorkosigan Saga, but I'm also familiar with Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, everything written by John Scalzi and Isaac Asimov, all of Larry Niven's sci-fi, and a truly incredible number of written SF verses. If it's literary Science Fiction, I've probably read it. (Unless it's Heinlein or Dune.)
If I figure out how to write a fic based on your prompt, I'll gift it to you on AO3. In any case, any prompts from the comment threads are free game to any passers-by.

...Actually, Ivan explaining his trip to Lady Alys could be very entertaining if written right. "So, Ivan, how was your trip?" she asked.
How the hell was I supposed to reply? "Miles did his thing of finding trouble and catalyzing it further, but don't worry, Mom, I was very popular with the ghem-Ladies! Let me tell you about my sexual encounters..."
