From Spaceship Rental, which needs two sex scenes I dun wanna write:

"Yunlan," Shen Wei said, face against Zhao Yunlan's neck, gripping like mad. "Yunlan."

Zhao Yunlan ran a hand along Shen Wei's back. "I'm here."

Shen Wei sighed. "I wasn't sure you'd come back," he whispered.

"How could I not come back with you waiting for me?" Zhao Yunlan murmured into Shen Wei's hair.

A wheezed chuckle. "Yunlan," Shen Wei said, voice more open and exposed with yearning than Zhao Yunlan recalled ever hearing it. "I need you," he whispered.

"I will give you anything you need," Zhao Yunlan promised with all his heart.

(Though I've also had headaches recently, so let's see if that dun-wanna-ness abates at some point.) Spaceship Rental is now 31k! It looks like it'll need at least 13k more of itself.

I also got a very nice comment on my fic From Ashes of Sunlight (MDZS, E, 44k), asking me whether I take commissions because the commenter was that impressed about my Wei Wuxian! I then went to look for bookmarks with commentary on my works, and behold, on that selfsame fic someone had commented This is so good. At first I wasn't sure about pairings, if I'd like them, but they grew on me. Like a fungus or something. *g*

And as a final plotbunny I'm now sharing: while Shen Wei slept, Haixing became a BDSM AU, where everyone is officially a Dom, sub, or Switch. Dixing doesn't do this, so the Regent has to explain the concept to the newly awoken Envoy. Then we could have Shen Wei's entertaining and amusing exasperation and pain when Zhao Yunlan (Official Dom) starts flirting with the (picked Switch at random) Professor Shen with stuff like "What's your favorite slave position?" and Shen Wei wishes he'd done more homework.

\o/ I hope you have fun! Though, uh, fair warning, my way is the way of the crackship and canon divergence. (The fandom at large is very OTP-y.) Also book-based.

I heard enough about the divergences from the book that I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. And canon divergence is exactly what I want most in this fandom anyway :) (Well, that, and more Jiang Cheng angst and h/c. And the AU where Jiang Yanli gets actual character development and actions.)

Have you/are you/do you plan on watching the show? I enjoyed it very much.

I would like to watch the show, but it's live action and I prefer words, so I'll read Children of Time first. And maybe watch Oh My General, too. (Why are all cdramas eleventy billion episodes long?) Is the Viki version decent? IIRC that's available in Finland.

Of "The Untamed," english subs are available on Youtube. The Viki version is, uh, they translate some names very literally, and it depends on how you feel about Jinlintai being called "Golden Unicorn Tower", Zewu Jun "Brilliance Overgrowth Lord," and Lan Zhan's sword being named "Dustproof."

See, since Dixing doesn't have a BDSM AU, Zhao Yunlan would also figure out that Shen Wei is a Dixingian much sooner! Then he could reassure his lovely academic of Dixingian extraction who probably has healing powers that no, neither he nor the Envoy will deport law-abiding citizens, so could the darling Professor Shen please stop hanging around at crime scenes so Zhao Yunlan can protect him from the Envoy? (Shen Wei, internally: "Okay, this is awkward but adorable." Also it'd be evidence that Zhao Yunlan cares for at least one Dixingian enough to protect him from deportation!)

Spaceship Rental is expanding even more now – I figured out how to write the sex scene and now Shen Wei is making breakfast. Soon they'll teleport to the SID.

it really can be read completely unrelated to fandom, so if you're bored today, maybe try anyway? it could just as well be standalone original fic, there is nothing Supernatural-related about it except the character names.

And it is such an amazing treatise on BDSM and prejudice and preconceptions and... ahhh.
