I wanted something light to go with the rewatchalong, so here it comes! First, let's define sluttiness. The most common archetype that comes up is a scantily dressed woman, but we don't have any in Guardian. (The closest is Sha Ya, who is more of a countercultural rebel dresser.) I'd argue that sluttiness can be distilled into: dresses in clothes that don't upset the prevailing cultural norms (gender role conforming, not countercultural) and also show off one's body through tightness or nonexistence at that particular spot. So for a woman, that might be a tight and low-cut dress, and for a man...
Well. Look at how the pants cup Shen Wei's ass. Is that the fit chosen by a man who wishes to exist comfortably, or the fit chosen by a man who wishes to advertise his backside?
