I watched it with friends, and HOLY FUCK. Basic gist: movie about a group of immortals with canon gay, canon femslash, and lots of excellent and hot fight scenes with good backing soundtrack. Warning for mild body horror (immortals take some time to heal up and sometimes they die in ways that involve fucked-up joints). Andromache is my absolute fave and I love her and the fact she's a force of nature with pretty much any weapon and omg. Nile is an excellent newbie, too, and her actress does a really good job with her! The movie's only been out since Friday and there's also apparently talks of a sequel already, which is good, since I really really want to see more of Quynh.

I watched it on Friday and I liked it a lot. And I would love to have a sequel, because I want to see more about Quynh, too. And more flashbacks to her and Andy’s past.

Yes! I am super into Andy kicking ass, so flashbacks sound wonderful. I also want to see how Quynh's dealt with her entrapment under the sea, and whether she really was trapped there the whole time - looking up corrosion rates and the seafloor depth around England, she'd have been completely out of the iron casket within a year or two. (Seawater is hell on iron.)

Quynh is amazing and I want more of her so much, but all the main characters were fantastic and I love them. I even liked Copley, by the end! Which is a nice trick for them to do. :)

IKR? Such a sequel hook. I want to see what she's up to! And action sequences. The ones in this film were golden; I hope the sequel will continue along the same lines.

The choreography was gorgeous! All the bits where they passed things to each other, or gestured where they were going, or moved a target precisely into the other's line of fire— so beautifully done!
