...and honestly, this is a very good description of a fair chunk of my fics, lol. Perhaps even me as a person! A quantum superposition of galaxy brain and late night shitpost.

Casefic has 6.5k 9k! now. Assuming this'll be 40k, that means there's 33.5k left, which would take ~67 days to write at a clip of 500 words per day. (I average a bit over that for projects in the 20k-45k range, but it's a fair enough maximum estimate.) Posting in the summer? Oh, and I need to get Ye Huo a backstory. (For various reasons, he is the only person who can do plot thing. Well, Zheng Yi could, too, but Zhao Yunlan wouldn't ask.) *sods off to write*
