• Also relatedly: stuff exploring the deeper mysteries of the Force! I personally subscribe to the "Light Side = selfless love, Dark Side = selfish possession" interpretation of George Lucas, so stuff building on that or some sort of comparison with non-Jedi, non-Sith Force users would be cool
• Padawan raising schmoop! Including the evil Sith version of "Good job torturing those people to death with lightning, apprentice! <3 Here, have a spaceship for your reward."

I like all "levels" of shipfic from plot with almost background relationship to pure PWP. If you're choosing between something you think the characters would do in a situation and something on my likes list, please err on the side of what you feel is right for the characters and story in general. If you are pondering what sort of tone to have, outside PWPs, I prefer comedy to darkness.

• Setting change AUs (eg: Hogwarts AU, Coffee Shop AU)
• Christianity, mentions of "sinning".

Original Character preferences

I like aliens! My favorite alien species are (in alphabetical order) Chiss, Mirialans, Togruta, Twi'lek, and Zabrak, but feel free to pick another species or make up your own.

WRT names: I know Star Wars has a long and glorious tradition of silly names, but don't make them too silly (Savage Opress is too much), and please don't give them names that are associated with the opposite gender in Finnish. (In KOTOR, Juhani is a lesbian catgirl; in Finnish, Juhani is a man's name.)

I absolutely adore competence, especially in women. Competence, ambition, determination, use of every tool at their disposal. Alternatively, the "I have no idea what I'm doing" type who improvised their way in and will wing their way out, leaving behind a large pile of explosions. Characters getting in over their heads and not quitting. I am also partial to comedic characters who are stunningly, absurdly competent and rational in pursuit of goals that are objectively deranged.

Other aspects I appreciate in characters are the ability to enjoy adrenaline thrills, curiosity, knowing WTF they're doing or at least pretending that they do, and women lifting heavy objects. Creativity and creative problem-solving. Knowing the rules and exploiting them. I also like disasters who try to be good at stuff and end up causing almost as many issues as they solve!

Getting up to speed on the canons

Knights of the Old Republic I & II: Two video games. Available natively for Windows and Mac, with II also available for Linux, cost about 10€ each the last time I checked. Available on GOG and Steam. Screenshot LP for I, all game dialogue for I, all game dialogue for II. Time to completion should be about 30-40 hours each.
Star Wars: The Old Republic: A MMO. You can get the class stories (incl. Sith Inquisitor) as a free to play player – they take about 30-40 hours too, I think. For the Sith Inquisitor/Darth Zash request you can do with just the class story. For Acina, while you do encounter her after Makeb, you need the KOTET expansion, for which you need to subscribe for at least one month – 13€, last time I checked.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: 133-episode TV series; episode length 25 minutes. It's owned by Disney so streaming options are probably country-dependent.
Star Wars Prequel Trilogy: 3 movies, each about 2 hours long. Again, owned by Disney.

KOTOR

KOTOR I, I really enjoyed the reveal and companions' reactions to that. The potential for identity stuff/doubting one's recollections is super cool; I'd appreciate a chance for Revan to yell at the Jedi Council. For KOTOR 2, I am very much into the "there's something intrinsically metaphysically wrong and horrifying about the Exile and that makes them unstoppably compelling to everyone they meet" schtick, so leaning into that is very welcome! I really enjoyed the tone of the thing and the colossal loyalty kink possibilities, plus the slow unfolding of the premise and realizations.

Other than the requested, I also like: T3-M4, HK-47, Juhani, Jolee, the Handmaiden, Mira

Revan preferences: Light Side-ish, or at least not the "kicks puppies for fun" type of darksider. Pragmatic. Charismatic. Competent. Please ignore the Revan novel and SWTOR.
Exile preferences: Inscrutable and mysterious, including to herself. Ideally Light Side-ish. I liked the canon tone! Meetra Surik is an acceptable name, though please ignore the rest of the Revan novel and SWTOR.

Yuthura Ban/Female Revan (KOTOR)

• Revan and Yuthura going on a grand mission of slave liberation!
• I love the redemption/"was Sith, now no longer" thing they have in common. Did Yuthura recognize this was Revan? What did she think, when the Dark Lord herself told her to return to the Light Side? Did she have a crush on Revan with her mask and helmet?
• AU in which the Jedi Council thinks Yuthura should join Revan in her quest to find the Star Maps. Do they need to go look for an extra Star Map after the canon ones prove inconclusive?
• Post-canon exploration of the Uncharted World.
• Revan takes Yuthura with her to face the threat in the Unknown Regions. (Please ignore the Revan novel and all of The Old Republic. Feel free to disregard as much of the rest of the EU as you wish.)

Female Jedi Exile/Visas Marr (KOTOR)

• Breaking the oath. After only just meeting her, Visas already considers the Exile a paradise valley. How? Why? Does she realize it's a reflection of the Exile being a wound in the Force, creating Force bonds with all?
• Visas falls from the darkness to the light, in a way. What is it like to fall in that direction?
• A fully-trained Jedi is a dangerous thing, as the denizens of Dantooine would no doubt inform you. After serving Darth Nihilus for so long, what would Visas expect from the Exile she now serves? How does the exile compare to the expectations?
• Dark F/F where the Exile is like the lure on an anglerfish, and Visas cannot help but fall.
• Missionfic of something unknown, either during or after canon. The tomb of a Sith Lord? Some political snare? Has Czerka regrouped to threaten the Ithorians again?
• Post-canon fic with the Exile and her followers/students reforming the Jedi Order
• Does Visas sneak off to join the Exile to confront the threat in the Unknown Regions? What is the threat, and what must be done about it? (Please ignore all of The Old Republic. Feel free to disregard as much of the rest of the EU as you wish.)

Star Wars: the Old Republic

SWTOR! I got into the MMO in Feb 2021; the Sith Inquisitor was the first character I played; I have mine current with all content (so no need to fear spoilers). My personal Inquisitor is a Zabrak, but I like the other alien options as well. I'm not really into Zakuul or Valkorion family drama.

Other than the requested, I also like: T7-01, Talos Drellik, Darth Marr, Xalek, the Dread Masters (best antagonists in the game)

Inquisitor preferences: My personal preference is for an alien archaeology enthusiast! I also like pragmatism and her being an Imperial loyalist and all of the funny lines ("How do you know I'm not a colicoid?"). I liked the [electrocute] options and the hilarious quantities of sass and snark, as well as the focus on ancient mysteries and Sith archaeology. Like, seriously, write me a 10k fic that is just the Inquisitor investigating Rakatan ruins and I will be ecstatic. WRT names, please refer to her by her Darth title – e.g. Darth Nox, or Nox – if at an appropriate place in the timeline.

Darth Acina/Female Sith Inquisitor (SW:TOR)
The only best bit in KOTFE/KOTET was the hiking trip with Acina! I like her dry tone and mild iconoclasm; it goes well with a bunch of Inquisitors.

• Acina's the questgiver for the Dread Seeds mission, so something with Acina going along with her new colleague on the Dark Council to capture all the Dread Seeds and stop the Dread Masters?
• Maybe a visit to a Sith Temple at some point in the timeline – ancient artefacts for the defeat of the Republic?
• Or, once Acina is Empress, some rival (Vowrawn? Ravage?) has established a base somewhere, time to go in with her right-hand woman to eliminate them?
• Visiting Ziost and its Sith tombs before the Cataclysm? Visiting Ziost after the Cataclysm? How much has survived, buried beneath the soil?
• Investigating Nathema's suitability to be an Imperial outpost?
• Or something more war-related – I'll be caught up with the upcoming expansion once it's been released; feel free to use stuff from there if you want.

Female Sith Inquisitor/Darth Zash (SWTOR)
Please have Zash be in her original body, not Khem's. Thank you!

• "Here is the lightsaber I had when I was an apprentice! Now assassinate my enemies for me" is 100% exactly what I want in my femslash ships. So, uh, more of proud Sith master Zash setting achievable murder targets for the Sithquisitor?
• Sith archaeology field trip to some ancient temple! Korriban, Dromund Kaas, wherever. Just the two of them doing evil archaeology together.
• AU where Zash gets her eternal youth not through body snatching but through some dark side sex ritual.
• AU where the ritual Zash comes up with at the end doesn't necessitate either her or Khem dying, but manages to reconstitute her body along the way, and all the awkward reactions that ensue.
• Zash said she almost forsook the ritual – what if she had? Zash and the Inquisitor shopping for a new body for Zash together?

Prequels

I like both the Prequels and TCW, so feel free to look at the section below as well. Anyway! I really enjoyed the prequels in all their ridiculous glory, especially the lightsaber fights and the sense of sweeping world and the Jedi and the Jedi Temple.

Depa Billaba/Shmi Skywalker (PT)
Feel free to go pre-canon, but not so far that Anakin doesn't exist.

• A mission brings Depa to Tatooine, whereupon she discovers Shmi Skywalker, whom Qui-Gon Jinn left in slavery, and decides that she'll fix this situation. Explosions/dead Hutts/a slave revolution follow.
• Or it's Depa who's the one who first encounters Shmi and Anakin, either as part of the Naboo-Trade Federation negotiations or otherwise. How would she handle being a slave woman's houseguest in need of transport offworld? How would Shmi react to the Jedi who descended upon her being Depa?
• Or their paths cross even earlier – Depa's dismantling a slaver ring and Shmi offers to help, child in tow (or still incubating).
• I'd also dig a deep dive into Shmi's personality – what is she, other than a saintly mother? What compromises has she had to make with what little freedom she's had?

The Clone Wars

Okay, so one of my bulletproof narrative kinks is mentorship, which this show delivers in spades. And the Jedi! I love the space wizards and their vaguely Buddhist philosophy and telekinetic powers. I really like people figuring out their place in the universe and helping others on their journeys. So here are a bunch of prompts for a variety of Jedi. I also love slash, femslash and milSF! (DNW exception note: background Padmé/Anakin is fine.) You are also free to include any general Prequels era stuff or set your fic outside the Clone Wars if that's where a prompt leads you. I'm not fussy.

Anakin Skywalker/Mace Windu (TCW)
Anakin has a Thing for authority figures, and Mace is one! Likewise, Mace really likes lightsaber combat and Anakin is good at it, so. They also had nice banter in the Zillo Beast and training ship arcs.

• All the weird Force bantha poodoo! Anakin takes Mace to Mortis instead of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka? Anakin touches a Force artefact and oops, now they have some sort of Force bond?
• Discovering ancient Rakatan devices! Trying to figure out WTF happened with them! Anything dealing with the legacy of the Infinite Empire.
• Honestly, anything in the genre of "Anakin and Mace go on an adventure together and end up getting together". Levels of peril and number of witnesses up to your discretion.
• A new Separatist stronghold has been discovered! Who's in charge? Grievous? A tactical droid? Some all-new non-droid General Count Dooku hired after one more disappointment from Grievous? What horrible trouble could befall our heroes this time?
• Someone gets kidnapped and potentially ransomed! Anakin and Mace get sent to rescue/negotiate/pay the ransom.
• Completely by happenstance, they're at a location when Something Interesting happens, and since they're Jedi, the local authorities ask them to solve the murder mystery/high-profile theft/terrorist attack.
• Or the interesting happens to them! A large diplomatic event between two planets that attach supreme importance to pod racing, Separatists attacking someplace and the 501st and 91st are the only ones close enough to respond, a bizarre Force Ghost starts haunting the Temple basement, etc! Or a smaller mishap, like them ending up in the rakghoul-infested sewers of Taris by accident and having to find their way out or something.

Obi-Wan Kenobi/Darth Maul (TCW)
Let's be real: Maul's hateboner is a mere hair's breadth away from being a regular ol' stiffie. And Obi-Wan only looks like a reasonable person because he's standing next to Anakin. It's a match made in heaven, if heaven were also hell.

• Obi-Wan is the one to find Maul on Lotho Minor!
• Due to Dooku, Sidious, or forces of nature, Obi-Wan and Maul are stranded somewhere and can only get out if they cooperate.
• Maul decides that actually, he also wants vengeance on Sidious, and the best way to get that is via the Jedi. Now, if only Kenobi would believe him...
• Before killing his beloved nemesis, Maul absolutely needs to monologue at him about how he ruined his life. Then monologue some more, because he can only kill his nemesis once, so he better say everything he's ever wanted to say first. Wait, that turned out much too personal and revealing, abort – why can't he kill Kenobi? What is this colossal betrayal of his hand???
• Maul's revenge quest is, like all revenge quests, awfully personal. What if it took a turn for the physical/erotic? Obi-Wan decides to try flirting with him to get out of this and oh look, suddenly the sexual tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife and serve it for dinner?
• Obi-Wan comes to the tragic conclusion that Maul is hot when they're fighting with lightsabers and also really hard to kill. Maybe he should try redeeming the guy instead? You know, just to minimize collateral damage. Anyway, here's his comm code, please call first if you feel the urge to kill anyone, Maul!
• Time travel! Rebels/TCW-era Obi-Wan/Maul travels back to TCW/TPM and tries to convince himself/the other one to change approach, with varying levels of success.

Colorblind Male Jedi/Confused Male Sith Roommate
This idea came to me last year and I've been dying to request it since! I think I'd prefer a take where there are lots of Jedi and Sith around (KOTOR, SWTOR, ambiguous pre-Ruusan reformation era?) and the Sith somehow flubbed and waved around his lightsaber and the Jedi didn't react like he should've.

• The Sith being all "fuck fuck fuck" inside at how he accidentally broke his cover, except that this Jedi isn't doing anything and why is that? Is this all some ploy? WTF?
• The moment the Sith realizes that the Jedi is so colorblind he assumed the red lightsaber was actually green.
• Does the Sith grow fond of the Jedi? "This Jedi is an idiot, but I guess he's my idiot now"? Trying really hard to pretend to be a Jedi pretending to be whatever he's undercover as?
• The moment the Jedi realizes that actually, his roomie's lightsaber isn't green like his, it's red and he's a Sith.
• Or does the Sith keep it under wraps until he's called back to his masters, only to decide that he should probably defect to the Jedi, actually, leading to the Council going WTF at our colorblind Jedi?

Female Jedi/Female Sith Who Used To Be Her Best Friend
My first thought when watching the Mustafar duel in RotS was "This would be really hot if it were lesbians", so if you want to make my horny dreams come true, here's your chance!

• What happened? Why did the Sith Fall?
• What are the circumstances of their reunion?
• Does the Jedi try to bring her Sith friend back to the light? Is this desperate reunion sex or resentful hatesex on both their parts?
• There's an inherent eroticism to lightsaber duels, so, that.
• But yes! The tragedy! The drama! The "how could you!" The duels! Meeting under the moonlight on an unnamed planet, fighting duels across the galaxy, each seeking to stop or bring home the other.

Jedi Whose Undercover Story Becomes Increasingly Bizarre/Concerned Pilot He Keeps Hiring (m/m)
(Era-wise, I'm okay with KOTOR 1 or SWTOR era as well as the probably-intended Clone Wars!)

• Why is the Jedi's story increasingly bizarre? Is he terrible at explaining things? Is he trying to obfuscate his mission but just bad at coming up with plausible stuff? Is he fully truthful but his mission is just that bizarre?
• Why does he keep hiring that one pilot? Are there no other pilots available? Does the pilot like him so much as to rush to be the first one hired (and hear the next episode in the thrilling tale)? Does the Jedi like the pilot as a person?
