Rules: If you'd like your own questions, let me know in the comments! I'll ask the first five commenters five questions each. Answer them in your own journal, offer to give the first five commenters their own sets of questions, and let the cycle continue! (Meme originally from

Questions from
ermingarden:
1. What's your favorite SWTOR class, and why?
Well, depends on your definition of class. For the class story, I ... hmm. Jedi Consular. I absolutely love the way it invites you to contemplate what would be important for your Jedi in particular right from the first story quest with the holocrons of the first Jedi, and the way it invites you to practice diplomacy and interact with people whose worldviews are not and cannot be yours right from your very first companion. Qyzen is, I think, the best of the "personal monster" (Khem, Broonmark, Skadge ig) companions, as he's following you voluntarily, and there's a touch of paternal concern mixed in there. (I think it might work even better if one's Consular is a Zabrak or a Togruta, as those are carnivorous and thus the bond with Qyzen would work even better.)
Taris through Alderaan are a bit repetitive like they are with all the classes, and I guess I agree with the criticism that the Chapter 1 end choice doesn't really work if you go DS, but then Chapters 2 and 3 are great. A bunch of politics, which is exactly what you'd expect a Jedi to do, and a nice mystery plot arching over it. Also you get a padawan you can train! The relationship is the most convincingly master-apprentice one the class stories have.
I think I promised a more in-depth look at some point, but for reference, my ranking of the class stories is as follows:
2. Favorite cozy winter drink?
Tea. Tea is my favorite drink point-blank, and it is excellently suited for winter days when one might like coziness. I prefer the high-quality unscented ones (I, uh, import mine from China). Black tea for the morning (Yunnan ones are great, though I like Assam as well), and green (e.g. Lushan Yunwu, Anji Bai Cha) for the evening.
3. Which of your own fics did you have the most fun writing?
Hm. I'm not sure I have fun qua fun, but I do enjoy writing fics. I think I'll go with In the Shadows, Crawling (T-rated Star Wars TCW gen) for the chance it gave me to stretch my writing muscles a bit with a magical realism-ish thing with noir vibes.
4. What's your favorite Star Wars planet?
Korriban. I love digging up ancient ruins, and this one has Rakata and Sith ones! I also like Yavin 4 for its ancient ruins and amazing beauty, and Dromund Kaas looks nice, too.
5. Which fictional being would you most like to have brunch with?
...I think I will go with Kosh from Babylon 5. He will probably not have any coherent answers for me, but it will surely be memorable! And I will get a nice mental puzzle from figuring out wtf he meant for a few months thence.

I think I promised a more in-depth look at some point, but for reference, my ranking of the class stories is as follows:
- Consular (excellent delivery of the Jedi fantasy)
- Inquisitor (hilarious, excellent Sith journey)
- Warrior (solid and consistent, excellent Sith journey)
- Agent (good, but a bit too twist-based and overrated by the community)
- Trooper (excellent act 1, descends into genericness)
- Knight (painfully generic)
- Bounty Hunter (bland, way too many Mandalorians)
- Smuggler (so busy being a Han Solo ripoff it got in the way of the story, not funny)

Date: 2022-12-14 16:25 (UTC)!!! that is very good to know, thank you, rip my wallet in advance. They say they handle EU customs so hopefully I won't have to explain anything, seeing how I don't live in a tea-drinking country.
