...because I have discovered [community profile] white_lotus and have things to share. Also browsed way too much YouTube. And thanks for the recs, FFA. Grouped by character in alphabetical order, after which shippy stuff.

Please note that I'm in no way a discerning consumer.

Footage from both

"Galileo"
(Music: Indigo Girls - Galileo)
The vid captures quite well one of the things going on with the avatar cycle: each avatar has to deal with the past ones' mistakes.

Rebirthing
(Music: Skillet - Rebirthing)
Again on the avatar cycle, though this is more Raava/Avatar-as-a-concept than Korra-as-avatar. The high-action music is difficult to vid, but with the plethora of Avatars, there are enough action sequences.

Mama Said Knock You Out
(Music: Five Finger Death Punch - Mama Said Knock You Out)
Toph and Lin Beifong, kicking ass, pwning, and in general earthbending.

The Last Airbender

Crashing Down
(Music: Heather Dale - Crashing Down)
Azula's villainess song. It fits. Very well. Go watch.

Ursa Made Ozai King of Anything
(Music: Sara Bareilles - King of Anything)
Ursa, and her marriage, and her holding up the façade, and her final sacrifice. (And remember: she made Ozai king of anything.)

Legend of Korra

Stronger
(Music: Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You)
Lin Beifong, being a competent badass. About as much Lin/Tenzin as I can stand.

Landsailor
(Music: Vienna Teng - Landsailor)
Jinora! This is really really good, the music fits airbending and the lyrics fit Jinora excellently.

Art of War
(Music: We the Kings - The Art of War)
Depending on how you squint, this is either Korra, Korra/Asami, or Korra/Kuvira. Kind of resigned in tone. It's actually really good about Korra keeping getting up.

My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)
(Music: Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark)
Korra and her journey during Book 1. Some damn excellent correspondences with a Thing in the music corresponding to a Thing in the footage (bending, punch, cut, etc), which is harder with more distinctly emphasized music like this.

Centuries
(Music: Fall Out Boy - Centuries)
Korra and her journey during Book 4. Again, excellent correspondences with a musical beat corresponding to a visual beat. Korra going down in history.

We are the Brave
(Music: Veridia - We are the Brave)
Korra et al versus Kuvira. A few too many fade to blacks in too short a time frame in a few places, but a nice AMV nonetheless.

I Have a Heart That Gets on Everybody's Nerves
(Music: Icon for Hire - Nerves)
Korra through all we see of her. About how Korra's not what people want the Avatar to be, though the song fits more her Book 1 self.

Not Gonna Die
(Music: end bit of Skillet - Good to be Alive, Skillet - Not Gonna Die)
Korra (+ Raava?), internal thoughts during the Book 3 finale. Deciding to fight back, essentially.

Over when it's over
(Music: Falling in Reverse - It's Over When it's Over)
Korra, fighting back even despite her enemies telling her it's over.

Kuvira's Battlecry
(Music: Imagine Dragons - Battle Cry)
Kuvira slipping off the slippery slope into villainry. Resignedly, if anything.

Enemies
(Music: Shinedown - Enemies)
A sort of counterpart to the above, about the rest of the world's attitude to Kuvira, especially during the finale.

The Iron Lady
(Music: KMFDM - Stars & Stripes)
The rest of the world's reaction to Kuvira, more of the evil variety.

Shippy
Warriors
(Music: Imagine Dragons - Warriors)
Korra/Kuvira, pointing out the parallels between them.

Fast Car
(Music: Taio Cruz - Fast Car)
An alternate reality Korra/Asami Sato vid of Book 1! Masterfully done. (Also, I'd have been 110% more over Book 1 if this had been reality, heh.)
